next stop, Venice!

Venice has been known as the "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water","City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals"! Venice, with its lagoon, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is indeed one of the most beautiful city I've ever seen.
facts about Venice:
117 islands formed by 150 canals in the lagoon on the Adriatic sea connected by 409 bridges
The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day
The word "ghetto" used in many languages is derived from the Venetian Ghetto an area where the jewish were compelled to live
must see:
The Rialto bridge
Piazza San Marco
Saint Mark's Basilica
The Grand Canal ..to name a few! but actually the city itself is a living museum!!
